According to the 2030 Agenda action program for Sustainable Development​, Med Food has identified several areas in which it recognizes its contribution to responsible consumption and production.

We recover all the still usable parts of the products now obsolete so that they can be later used to repair models of the same series or out of production.

We create new fronts that allow the customer to only change the outer casing of their refrigerated display and reuse it for their entire duration.

RICYCLE ⬇︎

We chose to use expanded polystyrene (made from raw materials derived from 100% renewable sources); as an insulator for our refrigerators, as well as for their external protection when packaged.

For the shipment and delivery of our exhibitors we use recycled wood shavings crates, in addition to traditional cardboard packaging.

RIDUCE ⬇︎

We gradually replace the neon lamps in refrigerators with LED lamps.

Solutions dedicated to the realization of lids and closures of the front of the exhibitors without altering the characteristics of visibility and usability of the exposed product.

REPAIR ⬇︎

We are dedicated to the repair of refrigerated displays, even if not in production, thanks to the recovery of spare parts from refrigerators for disposal.

Obsolete Fridge – disposal according to law (D. Min. Environment n°145 of 4/1/1998) for a lower environmental impact, disposal of more than 90% of the material of realization for a recycling differentiated, maximum use of the refrigerators for all the hours possible of operation.

Med Food believes that the commitment of the company to act ethically and responsibly is a fundamental contribution to social and economic improvement.

Corporate Social Responsibility is to be understood as an attitude and a commitment through which the company lives its professional duty.

  • Disposal of obsolete refrigerators according to the law (Decree of the Ministry of the Environment n. 145 of 1 April 1998) for a very low environmental impact.
  • Recycle over 90% of the fridge disposal material.
  • Maximum use of refrigerators for all their operating hours.
  • Recovery of the graphic material used on the refrigerated display units customized for possible subsequent use.

    In the company, strong attention to consumption and reduction of energy consumption:
  • Fleet auto business only to operation Hybrid or methane.
  • Solar panels for hot water production.
  • Replacement of all outdoor night lamps with LED lamps.
  • Reuse of heat cell recovery water – Testing Room Refrigerators – for the irrigation of farm green..
  • Choice to equip the company with a defibrillator even if not in the range of obligation required by law.
  • … in end use of recyclable dishes agreed with the company canteen and progressive zeroing of disposable plastic.
